We’ve updated our online terms

Updated:
Published:

We’ve made updates to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Data Processing Addendum that will become effective June 28, 2025. We also recently updated our Infrastructure & Subprocessors.

Please note if you’ve signed a separate agreement with Algolia, some of these updates may not apply to you or they might roll out on a different timeline.

We encourage you to read our updated documents in full to understand how these changes may impact you, but, at a glance, here are some notable changes:

📝 Highlights of the changes:

🚀 How We Improve our Services

Technology doesn’t stand still—and neither do we. Like most tech companies, we’re constantly improving our services to bring you better, faster, and smarter experiences. Our updated Terms of Service and DPA now make it clearer that we may modify or enhance our Services over time. So whether it’s a small performance tweak or a brand-new feature, we’re building with your experience in mind.

🧠Subprocessor Update

We’re excited to share that we’ve added OpenAI, LLC as a Service-Specific Sub-processor to help power DocSearch and some of our generative AI features. If you’ve used AI-powered search enhancements or natural language processing in your app, you’ve likely already seen the benefits. This update just formalizes how that partnership works behind the scenes.

🔐 Privacy Policy Updates

We’ve refreshed our Privacy Policy to make it easier to understand:

  • What we collect

  • How we use it (including aggregated or deidentified data)

  • How we protect your information

These updates also help us stay aligned with current privacy regulations. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible.

✅ So, What Do You Need to Do?

Nothing! You don’t need to click or sign anything. By continuing to use our Services, you’re agreeing to our updated terms and policies.

Your access and experience with Algolia will stay the same—and hopefully just keep getting better!
